Massage therapy is an effective assessment tool providing insight into clients’ current conditions and state of being, and is an invaluable starting place to begin helping clients create sustainable
routines in self-care and wellness.
THE BENEFITS OF MASSAGE
A lot happens in your body and in your brain when you get a massage. For one thing, massage has been proven to release a rush of dopamine and serotonin in the brain while decreasing the stress hormone cortisol, leading to overall relaxation. Another reason why massage feels so good is that the neurons in your brain respond in different ways to the stimuli of touch.
There is something to the transformative nature of touch and its impact on a person’s health and well-being. Touch helps communicate what words simply can’t sometimes. It allows you to get in touch with thoughts and emotions you may not even realize you’ve been carrying around. It’s not uncommon for someone to start crying while on the massage table – which means the body needs an emotional release – massage is doing something good for the soul, as well… something you may have never realized your body needed in the first place.
The most rewarding part of our work is building relationships. True is not a one and done operation. We want to know when your kids are graduating from college, what your dreams are, what vacation plans you have. We are always honored to get to know clients more deeply.
We build connections and bring clients through to the next level of self care. Its a progressive strategy that takes people from a “This a luxury I can’t afford” to “I am worth every penny and minute spent on my self.” It’s a journey not a pit stop!
